Harley tipped her head and pursed her lips as she thought about it.

"Blindfolds are okay," she eventually decided, "since it's with you. Restraints too, as long as I can get out of them if I really want to."

The fact she had to even think about it was enough for him to know this was a big deal, and he knew better than to ask. Nope.

"Awesome, I just want to see how you react to the wand with a blindfold. I don't want to restrain you, though, I like your hands on me." He admitted with zero shame. He was coming out of his shell for her.

Be prepared for 3am texts about fantasy fights and nerd stuff.

She was usually awake around the time anyway, and she loved their talks about absolutely nothing of consequence.

"Oh you'll get a reaction, don't worry!"

Harley laughed and squeezed his butt through the pocket. If he liked her hands on him, then she would gladly provide.

It all depends on what he had to do the next day, and if bad dreams woke him if he was up past 1am. Either way he loved those late night talks.

"Hell yeah." That was all he needed to hear, when she squeezed his butt again, he moved his hand down from her shoulder to do the same to her. It was only fair, and it made that grin widen some.

Harley laughed at his return squeeze and paused their walk a moment so she could pull him down for a kiss.

"I'm so glad we came here. It's so good to get out of Gotham for a while."

Gary happily returned the kiss, pulling her close during it and lingering there a moment. That edible was starting to creep in.

"I'm always happy to spend time with you anywhere, but yeah. This beats Gotham and Newark."

Harley hummed happily when he pulled her close and ran her hands up his back. She was starting to feel it a little.

"Ready to start circling back? Maybe look up delivery options for dinner."

That happy hum and her hands running up his back got her another small kiss to the tip of her nose.

"That sounds amazing, yeah. Let's do that, and maybe later if we feel like it, we can play with that fire pit." Because that's a great idea.

The kiss set off a fresh round of giggles and she covered her face with her hands to try and keep her shit together.

"Wanna race back?"

Those giggles were contagious, the more he felt it kicking in.

"Oh, you're so on!" And he turned to dash for the house. Everything about this trip was already amazing.

"Oh!"

Her reaction time was a little slow, so the edible was definitely kicking in. That second of a head start gave him an advantage but she was a scrappy little thing and not about to make it easy for him.

She was totally going to beat him, didn't matter if he runs each morning. She has to run faster in Gotham for both crimes and anything else. This was something else he didn't mind losing.

When they reach the door he was breathing harder and leaned a hand against the wall of the house. "Well, congrats, babe. To the victor the spoils." His tone amused as he was looking at her focusing on the color of her hair. Give him a second.

Harley's face was a little flushed from the sudden sprint. Her eyes glittered as she smiled up at him and shook the flyaway wisps of hair out of her face.

"What'd I win?"

Gary was still trying to catch his breath as he watched those wisps.

"One kiss, and my devotion." He spoke finally pushing off the door to pull her close. He didn't care they had just run, he wanted to steal a kiss, but the line sounded good to him.

"Oh, Gary!"

Harley wrapped her arms around him as they kissed and let herself go weak in the knees and lean back, turning it into a dip. She was lightheaded and giddy and couldn't say for sure if it was from the weed, the race, or the romance of it all.

"I feel like the cover of a romance novel."

Oh, how he loved hearing her call out his name like that. He kissed her back, and tried to keep them both from falling over as she dipped back, his arms around her trying to keep her from falling back.

"You belong on one, for sure." He spoke with a bit of a flustered giggle, oh, she almost pulled him down with that one.

Harley let her head fall back and laughed, letting her arms slip off his shoulders and dangle. She enjoyed that perfectly natural pose for a moment or two before she stood back up and slipped away to fetch her shoes.

"We should order pizza! What toppings do you like?"

Gary got distracted by her hair again, but held her up until she slipped away. Taking a moment to pull off his shoes, but left the socks. Trailing after her, quietly.

"Ham, bacon and pineapple." He liked Hawaiian pizza, he may be an actual monster.

"We should get a veggie pizza too. For health."

She went over to the hose and rinsed the sand off her feet before going inside. She wandered around the house until she remembered where she'd left her phone, then sat on the floor and started looking up delivery options.

"Oooh, babe, garlic knots!"

"An excellent choice, babe." He replied with a playful attempt to sound like Keanu in his Ted days.

He moved over to sit near her, though probably just laid across the couch or the bed, depending on where she sat down on the floor.

"Ohh, add those, that sounds good. How about wings?" He doesn't mind cheating his diet when he's on vacation.

"Mmm yeah!" Harley leaned back against the couch and tapped through menu options. She held her phone up so he could see the screen too. "Buffalo or regular?"

"Boneless barbeque." He replied as she held up her phone, pointing to it. "8 sound good?" He asked since he planned to offer her a few anyway with the pizza it would be fine for him.

"You got it." She finished putting the order in and put her phone aside. "Forty-ish minutes."

She crawled onto the couch with him and snuggled up. "Can we start with Kirk episodes?"

"Thanks, babe. That sounds good."

He wrapped his arms around her when she snuggled up with him, reaching out to grab the remote.

"Sure, but I figured you'd like Deep Space Nine or Enterprise better than Tos to be honest." And yet, he was logging in with the remote and pulling up the original serious. "Though, with Kirk we also have Strange New Worlds, and the JJ Abrams movies too." He added getting episode one pulled up.

There were a lot of reasons why she wanted to start with the Kirk era. The first series didn't have the expectation of an audience knowing any of the world building lore so there was a lower barrier to entry. The bright colors and cheesy effects were cartoony in a way that appealed to her. The moral allegories would be simple enough for her high little brain to follow.

But given that her little brain was high and getting higher, she couldn't fully articulate all of that, so she looked at him with big earnest eyes and said, "Miniskirts."
