Mostly Star Wars. Here, I'll send a picture in a second.
Hard same, who knows when we will get back.
[ A minute or so later a picture of the costume hanging on a hanger off the back of a closet door, with fading butterfly wallpaper around the door followed. ]
Oh no, I don't get credit here. My mom totally hand made it for my birthday a few years back.
Classified. The boss would be pissed.
[ Considering he's heading down to the cave, his boss could totally peak over his shoulder and read his texts if he wanted. So, had to play it cool. Or try to, anyway. ]
Oh yeah, mom used to be heavy into the scene back in the day when this kind of stuff was considered hella lame. Though, to be honest, Halloween costumes aside, I can only remember some Harry Potter robes back in like 7th grade. I outgrew that superfast though. Still, it's cool of her.
[ There were reasons his family heirloom had been a comic book. ]
You're so going to forget that's back there again, dude.
[ Gary grumbled a little, but without any bite. His grin returning with ease as he pulled the small handful of sleeved magic of the gathering cards out of his shirt pocket. Holding them over to the Monarch. Not even ten cards in all. ]
This is about seven thousand dollars with of Magic the Gathering cards. And, please don't ask why I was owed them.
Geez, if I'd known these things would end up like currency I would've invested. I thought it'd be like those people with, y'know, the little plush whatevers.
Oh dude, like if we could find and steal a mint Alpha Black Lotus card from 93? Eight hundred thousand dollars. Crazy right? The value in these are in their rarity and how powerful they are in the games. You'd be surprised what people will spend.
[ He absolutely loved getting to share this stuff and not get called a nerd or geek.]
I think you mean beanie babies, we all bought into that craze a little.
[ Gary replied, not wanting to not answer that one since he brought it up. The room was a far cry from what it had been a year ago. At least he was no longer sleeping on a mattress in the corner.
A breathy chuckle followed at her question.]
More than you. [ Picturing those photos in his mind since he had the phone to his ear. ] Never bothered changing this morning, boxers, and my calamity tee.
[ Gary had tossed his Obi Wan robe on his desk chair before he sat back on the bed. Far too many days him and the Monarch just chilled around the house in their underwear and robes.]
[ Gary flushed a little at the order. Remembering there was a lock now, now that he really had a reason to feel shy. Living on the cocoon had skewed that a bit. Maybe it was the idea of being caught? ]
Only because you asked. [ The phone sat on his pillow a moment as he hugged the black shirt off tossing it to the end of the bed, lifting the phone back with one hand, pushing his boxers down with the other. ]
There, [ His voice did that slight crack it does when he's flustered.] clothes are gone, better?
I also sometimes hang out with the dudes' son, and lived on his lawn for a year. It's complicated. Also, Brock wasn't there in that year, he'd quit for a while. Dr. Venture's the Monarch's enemy, I just want to help my boss with his hate. So, I don't think it's weird that I think Brock's cool. Hell, one of my proudest moments was fighting him and living to tell the tale.
Oh wow, yeah, that Hank looks like he'd eat Hank V for breakfast. Still, I know I've said it before, but I'm sorry for your loss, dude.
He looks like he would but Hank was great with kids. For a while we lived on a farm in Wyoming and he taught young teens how to work through substance addiction. He was a big, tough guy on the outside but had one of the most gentle hearts.
I have a feeling we may be in the same generation, dude. I was born in 83, what about you?
I know not to expect non-comic fans to like the stories, or to ever dig back through all that Batman. I got you if you like it though, I'll send all the best arcs.

Yeah, she's a smart woman.
No worries!
Dude, that sounds awesome, like all around.
Yeah? You must be proud of her.

It was nice, well except for when he'd smell like horses.
I am, she's grown into a wonderful person.
@dead_tongue
Who told you my life motto, dude?
I'll send you a list in PDF form. Dead serious, give me an hour.
no subject
it's the life motto of anyone born in my generation, I think.
ok! I can't promise I'll care about the stories entirely - I won't be looking up like 70 years of bat-history or whatever just so I can follow along.
